Baba Bricks Company

You can find us on the Bypass Road in Melvisharam. We’re really close to the Apollo Hospital, which is a big landmark for everyone around here. Baba Bricks Company has been on this stretch of road for years. The traffic is constant, and we see all sorts of vehicles going by all day long. Our yard is usually full of bricks waiting to go to construction sites nearby. It’s a convenient spot for the trucks to pull in and out without getting stuck in the smaller town streets. We have a small hut where we stay out of the rain. The dust from the bypass road settles on everything, so we’re always cleaning off the desk. We don’t do anything fancy. We just make sure the bricks are stacked right and the orders are ready when people come to pick them up. Sometimes the hospital traffic makes it hard to turn into our driveway, but we manage. My brothers and I run the place. We’ve seen the area grow quite a bit, with new buildings going up every month. Most of those buildings probably have some of our bricks in them. It’s a busy life, and there’s always something that needs moving or fixing. We don’t have much to say about ourselves, we just work and go home when the sun sets. We like the fact that we can see the town change from our little roadside spot.
