Uppal' Housing

We’ve been at House Number 308-G in Varunapuri for a while now, and being up on Mangoor Hill here in Vasco gives us a pretty clear view of how things are changing in the neighborhood. It’s not a fancy corporate office with glass walls, just a regular place where we get the work done. Dealing with housing in Goa is mostly about managing the humidity and making sure roofs don't leak when the monsoon hits hard. We spend a lot of our time talking to people who just want a decent place to live without too much fuss. Sometimes the phone rings at odd hours because someone has a leaky pipe or they’re worried about their walls, and we just handle it as it comes. It gets pretty hot during the day, so we usually have the fan going full blast while we look over floor plans or sort through maintenance requests. Vasco is a busy port town, so there is always noise from the trucks and the ships, but up here in the quarters, it stays a bit quieter. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there; we just want to make sure the houses we look after are solid. It’s honest work that keeps us busy from morning till evening, and we’ve gotten to know almost everyone on this street by name. That’s just how we do things here, keeping it simple and practical for everyone involved.
