You can find Triya Steel out on Chaubeypur Road, right in Mangari Bazar. We are very close to the railway crossing in Babatpur. It’s a spot where you often have to wait for the trains to pass, so people usually notice our sign while they are sitting on their bikes. We mostly sell steel for construction—things like bars and frames. The shop is essentially a large shed where we keep all the heavy inventory. It’s noisy because of the trains and the traffic, but we don’t mind it. We’ve been here for a few years now. The ground is usually covered in iron filings, so you have to watch your step. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just rely on the local builders knowing we are here. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to move the steel around, especially when it rains and the yard gets muddy. We just wear our boots and get on with it. There’s no point complaining about the heat or the dust. We handle the orders as they come in, load them onto the tempos, and send them off. It’s honest work and it keeps the local building projects moving along. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to provide what’s needed for the local area. Every day is mostly the same, but we like the routine of the yard and the people we meet at the crossing.
