Ojha Metal Works

Our shop, Ojha Metal Works, sits right on 80-Athu Road. It’s a place where we spend most of our daylight hours surrounded by sheets of metal and various cutting tools. The floor is usually covered in some dust or metal shavings, which is just part of the job really. We handle all sorts of metal projects that come our way from the local neighborhood and sometimes further out. It’s not a large operation, just a few of us making sure the orders are cut and joined properly. I remember when we first moved into this spot, the walls were bare, but now they are covered with tools and old calendars. We drink a lot of tea while we figure out the best way to tackle a tricky piece of metal. Some days the work is straightforward, and other days we have to really think it through. The traffic on Athu Road can get noisy, but we are used to it by now. We don't use any high-tech systems for tracking things, just a simple notebook where I write down what needs to be done. It’s practical and it works for us. We just want to do the job right and move on to the next one. Being here on the road makes it easy for people to find us when they have a repair or a small part they need made. We keep our tools sharp and our heads down.
