Manish Drink Corner

If you are walking around Rathyatra Road in Varanasi, you will find Manish Drink Corner. We are at Shop No-35 in the Rathyatra Market, right near the crossing. It’s a spot where a lot of people stop when they are tired of the heat. We keep a lot of different drinks in the coolers. This market is always crowded, especially in the evenings. We’ve been here for a good bit now. It is just a small shop, but it keeps us busy from morning until late at night. The traffic at the Rathyatra Xing can be quite something, so people often duck into the market to get away from the noise. We don’t have much room for people to sit, so most just stand around and talk while they have their drink. It’s a very local vibe. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here. Sometimes we run out of change, which is a bit of a headache, but we manage. We aren’t trying to be the biggest place in Varanasi, just a reliable one where you can get something cold. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't found the time yet. We just focus on serving the folks who come through. It’s honest work and it keeps us on our feet. We don't really bother with any advertisements, people just find us when they are thirsty.
