We are based at Plot No. 57/I in the first phase of the G.I.D.C. industrial area. Working in an industrial zone like this means you get used to the sounds of heavy machinery and the sight of tankers moving in and out all day. Our place is quite functional. We work with chemical intermediates, so the warehouse part of our building is much larger than the office part. The floor is plain concrete and there are always blue drums stacked up near the entrance. It can get pretty hot during the summer months, but that’s just part of the job here. We don't have any flashy signs or a modern lobby. Usually, you’ll find us in our work clothes, checking on the latest batch or making sure the labels are correct. We eat our lunch together at a small table in the back, usually talking about the local news or the latest cricket score. Swastik Intermediates has been in this spot for a while now, and we’ve seen the other plots around us change hands many times. We just keep doing our thing, day in and day out. It’s hard work and it can be messy, but it’s what we know. We don't spend money on fancy marketing; we just focus on making sure the products are right before they leave the gate. It's a simple, no-nonsense environment where everyone knows what they need to do to keep the business running.
