Out here in Phase 2 of the GIDC at Bhadakmora, things stay pretty loud. Our workshop at Plot 114 is always full of the sound of machines running and metal hitting metal. It’s an industrial area, so there is always dust and the smell of oil in the air. We spend most of our hours making parts and fixing things that people bring in. The floor gets greasy, and we have to clean it up every Saturday before we leave. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy from morning until late evening. Sometimes the power goes out, and we all just sit outside for a bit until it comes back on. Most of the guys have been working here for years, so we all know how the machines sound when they’re working right. We don’t have a big fancy office, just a small cabin with a desk where we handle the paperwork and take calls. You can see trucks moving in and out of the lane all day long, delivering materials or picking up finished items. It gets very hot under the tin roof during the summer months, but we’re used to it by now. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure everything is measured correctly. There's always a lot to do, and the days go by fast when there are orders to finish.
