Royal Engineering Works

We've been here in Vapi for a while now, tucked away behind the J. K. T Fabrics building in Phase-3 of the GIDC area. It's a busy spot, mostly industrial stuff all around us. Royal Engineering Works started out small. Most days it's just about getting the jobs done that come through the door. We handle a lot of metal parts and repair work for the local factories nearby. Sometimes the shop gets a bit cluttered with tools and scrap, but that’s just how we work. People know where to find us if they need something fixed or fabricated. It isn't a fancy place with a reception or anything like that. You just walk in and talk to whoever is free at the moment. We usually have the radio going in the background and the smell of grease is everywhere. It’s hard work, especially when the weather gets hot in the shed, but we keep at it. Most of our tools have been with us for years. If a machine breaks down in one of the other units, they usually send someone over to see if we can weld it or turn a new part. We don't spend much time on computers or making things look pretty. It's just about the iron and the steel. We've seen a lot of changes in the GIDC over the years, new buildings going up and old ones closing down, but we stay right here in Lb-1107-8.
