Saloni Engineers

Our workshop is situated at Plot No 3715/A in the 4th Phase of GIDC. If you know the industrial estate, you know it’s a lot of grey buildings and trucks moving in and out. Saloni Engineers is right in the thick of that. It’s noisy and there is always a layer of iron filings on the floor no matter how much we sweep. We have been here for a while now, and the routine hasn't changed much. We get in early, check the machines, and start on the day’s fabrication or repair work. It’s not a glamorous job. My boots are usually worn out every six months because of the concrete floors. We don't have a lobby with magazines or a receptionist. Usually, you just walk in and find whoever isn't under a machine at that moment. The GIDC area can be quite dusty, and the tea guy comes around twice a day, which is the highlight for most of the crew. We focus on the engineering side of things, making sure parts fit and things don't break. It’s simple, honest labor. We don't spend money on fancy signs or marketing stuff because most people around here already know where we are. We just keep our heads down and finish the work we’ve been given.
