If you’re looking for Sharma Steam-Fab Engineers, we’re over at Plot No. 147 in the Nirmal Shopping Centre area. This is part of Phase-2 in the Vapi GIDC. It’s a bit of an older building, but it serves us well for what we do. Engineering work can be loud and messy, so being in an industrial zone like this is necessary. We spend a lot of time with tools and metal, fabricating whatever needs to be made. It’s heavy work, and by the end of the day, most of us are pretty tired. The shop floor is where all the action is. We’ve got some old machines that still work perfectly and some newer ones we’ve added over time. We don’t really have a fancy reception area. Usually, if someone comes by, they just walk into the main workshop. Vapi can be quite humid, especially during the rainy season, which makes the work a bit harder, but we just push through it. We take our tea breaks together and talk about the jobs we’re working on. It’s a simple way to run a business. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most people around here know who we are just by seeing our sign or hearing the noise from our plot. We’ve been at 147 for a long time, and it feels like home now. We just try to do honest work and keep the machines running, day in and day out, without any fuss.
