Sohoni Metal Craft Private Limited is based out of Plot No. 1302 in the G.I.D.C. area. It’s a pretty large plot, so we have enough room for the metalwork we do. Metal crafting is a bit of an art, but it’s mostly just hard work and being careful with the details. We’ve got various machines for cutting and shaping, and there’s always a bit of noise in the background. The G.I.D.C. is a busy place, and we are just another part of the industrial landscape here. We don’t have a shiny lobby or anything like that. When you walk in, you’re basically walking into the workspace. We spend our time looking at drawings and making sure the metal pieces come out the way they should. It can get pretty dusty and hot, especially when the furnaces or heavy cutters are going. We’ve been here for years, and the staff knows the routine well. We aren’t really into the whole corporate culture thing. We prefer to just get on with the craft. Sometimes things don’t go perfectly, and we have to redo a piece, but that’s just how it goes with metal. We are just a local company trying to make a living by making things that last. If you are in the G.I.D.C. and look for Plot 1302, you’ll see our gates and probably hear some grinding going on. We keep our doors open and just focus on the task at hand every day.
