Bhagyoday Metal & Tubes

Our place is over at Plot J/819 in the GIDC area, specifically the 3rd Phase in Umbergaon. If you know the Valsad district, you know this part of town is full of industrial units and trucks moving in and out all day long. Bhagyoday Metal & Tubes has been operating from this spot for a while. It’s a standard industrial shed. We deal with metals and different kinds of tubes, mostly for local industrial use. There is usually a lot of clanking and the smell of grease around here. The floor is concrete and always has some bits of scrap metal lying around. We spend most of our time loading and unloading stuff or checking the inventory in the back. It’s not the cleanest job, but it’s what we do. Umbergaon gets really humid, so the salt air sometimes makes things rust if we aren't careful with storage. We try to keep things organized, but in a place like this, things get messy fast. We have a small desk in the corner for paperwork, but mostly we are out on the floor. It’s a straightforward business. We buy, we store, and we sell. No big secrets or complicated processes. People from nearby factories come by when they need something specific for their own machines. We know most of our neighbors in the GIDC. It’s a hardworking area and we just fit into the middle of it. The sun hits the metal roof hard in the afternoons, so we keep the doors wide open.
