Pal Chemist

Pal Chemist is located at shop 12 in the Silver Star Mall on Taiwad Road. It’s a central spot, so we see all kinds of people coming through. Some are just wandering the mall, but most are coming specifically to get their prescriptions filled or to grab some aspirin. The mall has its own rhythm, getting busy around lunchtime and then again after the sun goes down. We've been here long enough that the walls could probably tell a few stories. It’s not a massive place, but we keep it organized so we can find things quickly. Taiwad Road is always a bit of a mess with parking, but people seem to find their way to us regardless. I spend a lot of time checking dates on packages and making sure the fridge for the insulin is running exactly right. It’s a lot of responsibility, but it’s what we do. We don't do fancy displays or anything like that; we just have what people need when they aren't feeling well. The lighting in the mall is a bit bright, and sometimes the music from the shop next door is too loud, but you just get on with it. We have a few chairs for people to sit on while they wait, and there is usually a newspaper laying around. It’s an honest way to make a living, helping the folks in this part of town stay healthy. We just take it one day at a time, serving whoever walks through that glass door.
