Universal Medicare Pvt. Ltd. is located over at Plot No 811 in the GIDC area. If you know the industrial estate, you know it’s a lot of concrete and warehouses. We’ve been operating out of this unit for a good bit of time now. It’s not a glamorous place to work, but it suits what we do here. The floors are easy to clean and there is plenty of room for the equipment. We spend most of our time making sure things are running right. Some of the machines can be a bit loud, so you get used to the background noise after a while. Most of the guys here have been with us for years. We eat lunch together in the small break area near the back. Usually, someone brings extra pickles or something to share. Sometimes the gate gets stuck in the tracks and we have to give it a good kick to get it open. The neighbors in Plot 812 are loud but they are decent people. We don't have a fancy lobby for visitors. Most people who come here are delivery drivers or guys picking up orders. We don’t have any big posters on the walls or inspirational quotes. Just a calendar and some clipboards with schedules. We try to keep the place organized, but when things get busy, there are boxes everywhere. It’s a lot of repetitive work, checking labels and making sure the batches are okay. It’s just a regular job for regular people.
