Shakti Pharmaceuticals Chemicals

We’ve been working out of Shed No. A1-2004-05 in Phase-3 of the GIDC here in Vapi for a good while now. It’s an industrial area, so it’s always busy with trucks coming in and out, and there’s that specific smell of manufacturing in the air that you get used to after a week. Shakti Pharmaceuticals Chemicals is what we call ourselves, and mostly we just focus on getting the chemical batches right and making sure the containers are sealed properly before they head out. The shed itself is big enough for what we need, though it gets pretty humid during the monsoon months when the rain hits the metal roof so loud you can’t hear yourself think. We aren’t some big corporate office with glass walls; it’s just us in our work gear, checking orders and handling the day-to-day stuff. Most of the people working here live nearby, so we know each other’s families and what’s going on in the neighborhood. Sometimes the tea stall down the road is the highlight of the afternoon when things get hectic. We handle a lot of different pharmaceutical ingredients, and it takes a lot of attention to detail to keep everything organized in the racks. It’s steady work, and we like being part of the Vapi industrial community because everyone knows everyone else’s business anyway. We don't spend much time on fancy websites or anything like that because the work in the shed keeps us occupied from morning until we lock up.
