Our place, Ven Petrochem Pharma Pvt. Ltd., takes up a good chunk of space at the Gidc Industrial Estate. We are spread across several plots, specifically 2903, 05, 07, 09, 10 and then some others like 2704 to 2708. It sounds like a lot when you say the numbers out loud, but it’s just how the layout worked out as we grew. Walking from one end to the other takes a few minutes, especially if you stop to talk to anyone. It’s mostly labs and storage areas. The air always has a bit of a faint smell to it, which is normal for this kind of work. We have a lot of containers coming in and out. The GIDC is a huge place and it can be easy to get lost if you don’t know the plot numbers. We’ve got a decent team here, mostly local folks who know the routine. It’s not a quiet job, there’s always a pump running or a truck idling somewhere. We spend a lot of time checking labels and making sure things are in the right spot. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes with all the pipes and tanks. We don't do much in the way of fancy meetings. Mostly we just stand around a clipboard and figure out what needs to go out next. It's a practical way to run things. We’ve been here for a long time and seen the estate change quite a bit over the decades.
