Yogeshwar Engineering

You can find us over on Makarpura Vasna Road, specifically on the Harinagar Road stretch. Yogeshwar Engineering is a busy little workshop where there is always the sound of metal hitting metal. The floor is stained with oil and there are piles of scrap in the corners. It’s not a pretty place, but it’s where we get the real work done. I usually spend my morning checking the machines and making sure we have enough supplies for the day's jobs. We take in all kinds of repair work and some custom fabrication too. The air smells like burnt iron and machine grease most of the time. We don’t have an office staff or anything like that, so if the phone rings, I usually have to wipe my hands on a rag before I can answer it. The Harinagar Road area is mostly industrial, so our neighbors are doing similar kinds of heavy work. We have a big heavy door that stays open most of the day to let the heat out, though it lets the dust in too. It’s a lot of physical labor, standing on your feet and bending over workbenches until your back aches. We’ve been at this for years and know our way around the tools. People bring us things that are broken and we figure out a way to make them work again. It’s simple, honest labor and we like it that way. Most of the machines we fix are old, but they keep going.
