Our shop is tucked away in the Lakulesh Avenue building, right near Arpan Complex. Most people in Nizampura know where that is because of the traffic usually being a bit much around here. It’s on the second floor, units 209 and 210, so you have to walk up. Mostly it is just us surrounded by towers of old monitors and spare parts that we keep just in case someone needs a specific screw or a cable from ten years ago. It gets pretty dusty inside, but that’s just how it goes when you’re opening up computers every hour. We spend most of our time staring at blue screens or trying to figure out why a laptop won’t turn on even though the battery looks fine. It’s not fancy work. People come in mostly for small stuff like a keyboard that stopped working or if they need more memory for their kids' school projects. We see a lot of the same faces from around the neighborhood. Sometimes it takes longer to fix something than we thought, especially if parts are hard to find, but we just call and let the person know. Usually, there’s tea sitting on someone’s desk getting cold because we got busy with a tricky motherboard. We don’t have a big team or anything, just a few of us who know our way around a circuit board. It’s quiet in the mornings and then everyone shows up after lunch when things get moving.
