You can find Kalpana Corporation over in Shahpur, specifically tucked away in the Halims Khadki area of Nano Bhatwadi in Vadodara. It is one of those old neighborhoods where the lanes are narrow and you really have to know where you are going or you might get lost. We have been operating out of this space for quite some time and the building shows its age with the narrow stairs and the way the light hits the floor in the afternoon. It is mostly just a few of us here handling the daily work which involves a lot of paperwork and phone calls to suppliers. The desks are usually covered in files and empty tea cups because we stay pretty busy from morning until evening. It gets a bit noisy outside with the scooters passing by and the neighbors talking, but we are used to that atmosphere by now. We do not have a big fancy lobby or a receptionist to greet people when they walk in through the door. Usually, someone just looks up from their computer and says hello. It is a practical setup that works for the kind of business we do here in the city. We spend a lot of time checking orders and making sure everything is where it should be. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized when it is busy, but we always manage to sort it out before we head home for the night.
