Binny Computer Services is situated in unit 1 of the Bhagya Laxmi Flats. It’s a bit of a different setup because it’s a residential building, but it works well for us. We are right near Sunrise School in the Surya Nagar area of Gidc. On school days, we can hear the bells and the kids shouting, which keeps the atmosphere lively. Being in Gidc means we are surrounded by a lot of other small workshops and businesses. The flat itself is a bit on the small side, especially when we have several computers opened up on the benches. Cables and spare parts tend to end up in piles, and we have to be careful not to trip over the boxes. The light from the front window is helpful when we are working on small circuit boards. Sometimes the people living in the other flats stop by just to chat for a minute. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We just wear our regular clothes and focus on the machines. Surya Nagar is a decent neighborhood to work in, though the parking situation near the flats can be a headache when everyone comes home in the evening. We have a simple routine of fixing things and keeping the files in order. It’s a basic, functional space that suits the kind of work we do every day. We just stay busy with the repairs.
