Yamuna Engineering Co.

Yamuna Engineering Co. is located at 257 in the Makarpura Industrial Estate. This estate is huge, but we have been in this same spot for a long time. Our workshop is where we do all the engineering work, mostly involving lathes and milling machines. It is the kind of place where you have to watch where you step because of the metal shavings on the floor. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there; we just want to do the jobs that come in correctly. Most of our workers have been here for a decade or more, so they know the machines inside and out. The air smells like cutting oil and old metal, which is how an engineering shop should be. We deal with a lot of local companies who need specific parts made to order. Sometimes the blueprints are clear and sometimes we have to figure it out as we go. It’s a lot of measuring and double-checking. We don't have a fancy showroom because our customers are more interested in the finished product than the decor. The office is just a small room with a couple of chairs and a fan that squeaks a bit. We just come in, do the work, and go home. It’s a straightforward way to make a living and we have built a solid name just by being reliable over the years.
