We’ve been on New Bel Road for a good while now, and it’s a nice spot to be in. Alkapuri has a certain feel to it, and our shop fits right into the mix of businesses here. We carry stuff for the whole family, so the shop is usually filled with a bit of everything. It can get a bit cluttered sometimes, but we try our best to keep the different sections organized. We aren't some big chain store with thousands of locations. We are just this one shop where we know many of our customers by their first names. On a typical day, we are busy helping people find the right size or showing them the different fabrics we have in stock. It’s not fancy, and we don't have any high-tech systems. We just use our eyes and our hands to make sure everything is right. The arcade can get pretty busy on the weekends, which means we are usually running around quite a bit. During the week, it’s a little slower, which gives us time to fix the displays and count the inventory. We’ve been here long enough that the shop feels like a second home to all of us who work here. It’s just a normal place for normal people.
