My office is located at C-31 in Manjalpur, right across from the Maninagar Society. People usually find it easily because it’s so close to Deep Chambers. I’ve been working from this spot for quite a long time. It’s not a corporate office with a reception desk or a glass entrance. It is just a quiet room where I handle my daily tasks and meet with people who need my assistance. I keep a few chairs for visitors and a desk that usually has way too many papers on it. That is just how I work. Manjalpur is a busy part of Vadodara now, but this specific corner stays relatively calm. You can hear the scooters going by and the occasional vegetable seller shouting on the street. I usually keep the door open to let some air in, unless the dust from the road gets to be too much. I don’t spend money on big signs or advertisements. Most of my work comes from people who live nearby or someone who was told about me by a friend. It’s a very personal way of doing business. I’ve lived around here long enough to know the rhythm of the neighborhood. I start my day early with some tea and get through the files one by one. It’s a steady, honest way to make a living. Nothing fancy or complicated about it, just me doing my job every day.
