Kavita Creations

Kavita Creations is tucked away in Plot No. G-2 of the Jyoti App. building. It’s on Lal Baug Road, right behind the Horizon Complex in the GIDC Ind. Estate area. It’s a bit of an unusual spot for a workshop like ours, but it works for us. Inside, there’s usually the sound of sewing machines or the rustle of different fabrics being moved around. We do a lot of creative work here, making things from scratch. There are threads of every color you can imagine scattered around the floor by the end of the day. The light isn't always the best in the back corner, so we have these tall lamps we move around. It’s a busy place, especially when we have a big deadline. We don't have a big fancy showroom. Mostly, people just come to the door and we show them what we’re working on right there on the big cutting table. There’s a small balcony where we keep some plants, but they’re looking a bit dry lately because we forget to water them when we’re busy. The neighborhood is always noisy with the sounds of the industrial estate, but once you step inside, it feels a bit different. It’s a lot of manual work, using our hands to get the details right. We’ve been in this same spot for a while now and the locals know us well for the things we create.
