Special Purpose Machines

Our workshop, Special Purpose Machines, is located at Plot No. 404/A in Phase 3 of the G.I.D.C. We are quite close to the Marketing Yard, so there is always a lot of activity in the area with trucks and vendors moving around. Being in Phase 3 means we are surrounded by all sorts of manufacturing units. Our plot is just a standard industrial space where we keep our heavy gear and work on various machine builds. It’s not a quiet place by any means. There is usually someone welding or grinding something, so the air smells like hot metal most of the time. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist to greet you. Usually, someone will just look up from what they are doing if you walk in. We spend our days mostly in grease-stained clothes because that is just the kind of work we do. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until late. The G.I.D.C. area can get pretty hot during the middle of the day, and the tin roof doesn't help much, but we have some big fans to keep us going. We’ve been at 404/A for a while and we know the rhythms of the yard nearby. It’s a place where things are built and fixed, and we are happy to be right in the middle of it all. No fluff, just machines and hard work every single day.
