Smit Enterprise

Smit Enterprise is located at No. 485/486/A-10 inside the Aust Mangal Industrial Park. We are right near the Himalaya Cross Road in the GIDC Makarpura area. Being in an industrial park means things are always moving around us. There are trucks coming and going and a lot of noise from the other units, but we are used to it. Our space is basically a large warehouse and a small office section. We handle a lot of different things here, so the floor is usually covered in pallets and supplies. It is a bit of a maze sometimes. GIDC Makarpura is a huge place, but if you find the Himalaya Cross Road, you are pretty much there. We do not have any polished floors or bright lights. It is a working building through and through. We start our shift early to beat the heat and stay until the work is done. There are a few of us who have worked together for years now. We do not really have meetings; we just talk over coffee about what needs to be shipped out. It is a very hands-on environment. Sometimes the dust from the road gets in, but that is life in an industrial zone. We just focus on keeping our inventory straight and making sure everything is loaded correctly. It is not a glamorous job, but it is what we do and we have been doing it for a long time.
