We operate out of Plot No. 904-11 in the GIDC Industrial Estate. We go by Mm Engineering Industries. Our space is spread across several plots, which gives us plenty of room for the heavy machines and the raw materials we keep on hand. The GIDC is a massive area, and it’s always full of the smells of oil and metal. Our workshop is usually pretty greasy, but that’s just the nature of engineering. We have a bunch of guys who are really good with their hands. They can fix almost anything that breaks down. The roof is corrugated metal, so when it rains, it gets so loud we can hardly hear each other talk. We don't mind it much. We spend our days cutting, bending, and welding parts for various industrial uses. There’s a lot of forklift traffic in our yard, so you have to watch where you’re walking. We have a small office tucked into the corner of the main building where the billing and orders get handled. It’s usually covered in blueprints and spare parts. We aren't interested in being fancy or polished. We just want to make parts that work and get them delivered to the people who need them. It’s a tough, noisy job, but we’ve been doing it for a long time and we like the routine of it all.
