We are located at Plot No. 185-b-118 inside the GIDC Industrial Estate. If you know the estate, you know it’s full of small shops like ours where there is always the sound of metal hitting metal. We do general engineering work, which means we spend our days with lathes, drills, and welding torches. It’s a small space, but we’ve tucked everything we need into the corners. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings by the end of the shift. Most of the people who work here have been doing this for a long time. They don't need a manual to know how to fix a machine or cut a part to the right size. We don't have a sales team or a fancy website. Usually, someone just drops by with a part that needs fixing or a drawing of something they need made. We take a look, tell them if we can do it, and then get to work. The GIDC is a busy place, and we are just one part of it. The air inside the shop smells like oil and burnt metal, which is pretty much how it’s always been. It’s not a clean job, and our hands are usually stained with grease. We just focus on getting the orders finished so they can be picked up. It’s a simple way to make a living, and we appreciate the repeat customers who keep coming back to our small plot.
