Shri Jala Engineers

Shri Jala Engineers is over in the G.I.D.C. Industrial Estate in Makarpura. Our address is 120/A. We are right near the Jayant Oil Mill. You can usually tell when they’re working hard because of the smell of oil in the air. It’s an industrial vibe through and through. Our unit, 120/A, is a decent size for what we do. It’s mostly open space with some heavy machines and workbenches. The floor is a bit stained from years of work, but that’s expected in an engineering place. We don’t have a fancy lobby. You just walk in and you’re pretty much in the middle of it all. We have a small desk for the paperwork near the front. The light is okay, though we have to use the big overhead lamps when the sun starts to go down. Makarpura is always busy, people moving parts around on trolleys and motorbikes zipping between the blocks. We take our breaks together and usually talk about local things or what’s on the news. It’s not a high-pressure office. We just make sure the jobs get finished. Sometimes we stay late if a project is behind, but mostly we stick to regular hours. We’ve known the guys at the neighboring units for years. It’s a solid place to work, even if it gets a bit noisy during the peak hours.
