Shri Gurukrupa Engineering Works

Out here in Makarpura, specifically at No. 7/3 in the Gidc Industrial Estate, things stay pretty busy. We’ve got the machines running most of the day. It’s an engineering workshop, so it’s loud and smells like cutting oil and hot metal most of the time. We do a lot of custom work, parts that people can't find off a shelf. Some days it’s just small repairs, other days we’re tackling bigger fabrication jobs. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings, no matter how much we sweep. It’s just the nature of the work. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and the neighbors are all doing similar industrial stuff, so nobody complains about the noise. We have a few lathes and some milling machines that have seen a lot of years but still run straight. It’s a small crew of us here. We don't have a front office with air conditioning or anything fancy. If you need to talk to us, you just walk into the shed and find whoever isn't wearing a welding mask. It's the kind of job where your hands are always dirty. Sometimes things go wrong with a machine and we spend half the day fixing it ourselves. That’s just part of running a shop like this. We handle whatever comes through the door, as long as we have the tools for it. It gets hot in the summer, but we keep the fans going all day to keep the air moving.
