We've been here in Vadodara for a while now. It's mostly heavy stuff we deal with. People come in when they need parts fixed or something made from scratch. The workshop gets pretty loud during the day. We just get on with the work. It’s not much to look at, but we know the machines inside out. My cousin helps out some days when things get busy. Most folks around here know where we are located. It’s hard work, grease on the hands every single day. We don't have a big fancy office with air conditioning. Just a desk, some chairs, and a calendar on the wall. If someone calls, we answer it. If not, we're probably busy under a machine fixing a gear or a motor. Sometimes parts arrive late and we have to stay late to catch up. That’s just how it goes in this line of work. We handle local jobs mostly. Vadodara is a busy place for industry. We see all kinds of requests. Some are easy, others take a lot of head-scratching. We use old tools and some newer ones too. It gets hot in the summer under the tin roof. We drink a lot of tea to keep going. Clients come by, sit for a bit, talk about the job, and leave. It’s simple. We try to keep things moving. We've stayed in the same spot for years. The floor is stained but it shows the work we’ve done.
