Shree Dutt Engineering Works

Shree Dutt Engineering Works is located at 966/28 in the G I D C area of Makarpura. We are right by the Tecona Company and not far from the Runwal Seagull buildings on Handewadi Road. It’s a busy part of the industrial zone. You can see the traffic on Handewadi Road backed up almost every morning and evening. Our shop is just one of many in this row, but we’ve been here long enough that the neighbors all know us. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of machines and a lot of workbenches. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. If you come to visit, you’ll probably find us in our work clothes covered in a bit of grit. That’s just how it goes when you’re working with your hands all day. The G I D C in Makarpura is a massive place, so we tell people to look for the Tecona sign to find our turnoff. It’s a lot of manual labor, and the days can be long, but we like the routine of it. We take our breaks together and usually just talk about the work or what’s going on at home. There isn't any corporate ladder here, just a group of people trying to do their best with the skills they have. It’s a practical way to live, and the location works well for getting materials in and out. The rain sometimes leaks through the roof in one corner, but we just put a bucket there.
