Shree Chamunda Engineering Works

You can find Shree Chamunda Engineering Works over in Vadsar, at B 900/2. It’s basically a workshop where we do a lot of metalwork and machining. We have some lathes and welding equipment that have seen a lot of use over the years. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and there is always the smell of oil and burnt metal in the air. We take on all kinds of small jobs, like fixing a broken gate or making a specific part for a machine that someone brought in. It’s just a few of us working here, and we usually have grease on our clothes. We don’t really have an office, just a small desk in the corner where we keep our logbook and some old tools. The noise from the machines can be quite loud, so we have to shout sometimes to hear each other. Vadsar is an area with a lot of these kinds of shops, so we are in good company. We don’t have a website or anything like that, people usually just see our sign or hear about us from a neighbor. We work hard and try to get things done when we say we will, though sometimes a job takes longer if a machine breaks down or a part is hard to find. It’s just honest labor and we’ve been doing it this way for a long time now.
