Shiv Engineering Work

Our workshop is over at 304/6/4 in the Makarpura Gidc Estate. We are on the Gangapujan plot, not too far from the new telephone exchange. It’s a busy part of the estate. Every morning, you can hear the sounds of other businesses starting up nearby. We do engineering work, so the place is usually full of metal scraps and different machines. It’s a bit cramped sometimes when we have a big project going on, but we manage to move things around to make space. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but that’s not really a priority when there is work to be done. Most people who come here are looking for something specific to be fixed or fabricated. We just take the measurements and get to it. Sometimes the power flickers, which is just part of being in this area, so we have a bit of a routine for that. We usually have tea brought in around mid-afternoon from the stall down the road. It’s a simple life. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in the Gidc, just a reliable one where you can get things done without a lot of fuss. We know the neighbors and sometimes borrow a tool or two if we are in a pinch. The work is hard on the hands, but it’s what we know how to do.
