Shail Industrial Technical College

Our place is tucked away in the Gidc Estate, right near the old Makarpura depot. Being in an industrial area like this in Vadodara makes a lot of sense for Shail Industrial Technical College because we're surrounded by all sorts of factories and workshops. It’s not the quietest spot with all the trucks and machines going all day, but that’s just part of the daily environment here. The college is on Plot No 991/3/A, and it’s a straightforward building made for practical work. We’ve got some machinery and tools that the students use, so things can get a bit greasy and loud at times. The staff here are mostly local people who know their way around a workshop. We don't spend much time on fancy talk; we just focus on getting the students to understand how things work with their hands. It’s a bit of a walk from the main bus stop, but most people manage to get here on time. We spend our days fixing things or showing how to operate the equipment. It’s honest work, and the building shows it. There’s always something that needs repairing or a new batch of supplies arriving at the gate. We’ve been at this location for a while now, and the neighbors in the estate know us pretty well. It's just a regular technical college where people come to learn a trade without any of the extra fluff you see elsewhere.
