Aatman Vidyalaya

Our school is tucked away in Rajlaxmi Society, which is a fairly quiet spot if you step back from the main Old Padra Road in Vadodara. Being at house numbers 53 and 54, it feels a bit like a home that turned into a school over time. We have students coming in from all the nearby houses and even some who travel from further across town. The morning drop-off is always a bit of a scramble with scooters and cars lining up, but things settle down once the first bell goes. Inside, we have rooms filled with desks and charts on the walls that the kids made. It’s not a giant campus with big stadiums, but there is enough space for everyone to move around and learn their lessons. We spend a lot of time just managing the day-to-day stuff, like making sure the water coolers are full and the registers are marked. The teachers usually sit together during the break to have tea and talk about the upcoming exams. It is a very normal, local school experience for the families living around here. We don’t go for anything too flashy. The focus is just on the kids being here and doing their work every single day. Sometimes the neighborhood dogs wander near the gate, and we have to shoo them away so the kids can play. It’s just how life is at Aatman Vidyalaya. We like the community feel of being inside the society.
