Our institute is situated in Pratapnagar, right on the R. V. Desai Road near the Goyagate Circle. It is a well-known landmark in this part of town. The building is quite large and faces the Mysore Road directly. It is an older structure that has seen a lot of different people come and go over the many years it has been standing. Inside, the hallways are wide and the ceilings are high. It has that specific smell of old paper and books. We have several rooms for different activities throughout the day. It is not a flashy modern campus with glass walls. It is more of a traditional, quiet place. The gardens outside could use a bit of work, but they provide some nice green space in the middle of the city. Being near Goyagate Circle means it is easy for people to find us using the local buses or rickshaws. The noise from the road carries in through the windows sometimes, but we have all gotten used to it. We have a small staff room where we sit to drink tea and talk about the day’s schedule. The furniture is mostly heavy wood and has been there for decades. We do not really change things much unless we absolutely have to. It is a functional space. Pratapnagar is a busy area with a lot of local history, and we feel like we are a small part of that. We just go about our business day by day.
