It’s a bit cramped inside because we have so much stuff piled up from years of work, but I know where every single item is located. The Kapdi Pole entrance is always crowded with shoppers and people walking, so the noise from the street is just part of the background music for me now. I started here a long time ago and the building has aged along with me. The stairs are a bit steep and the ceiling is high. I don't use any fancy marketing tricks to get people in. Most of my customers are the children or even grandchildren of the people who used to come to see my father. We keep things very traditional here. There is no computer on the front desk, just a heavy paper weight and some pens. I like the smell of the old paper and the way the tea smells when it’s brought in from the stall nearby.
