We’re over at 4-18 in the B.I.D.C. Gorwa industrial area. It’s a bit of a drive out, but it’s where all the engineering work happens. The workshop is usually humming with the sound of machines. We have some lathes and drills that have seen better days, but they still get the job done right. It’s not a clean environment; there’s grease and metal shavings everywhere. That’s just part of the job. We don’t have a fancy office for meetings, just a small table in the corner where we look at drawings. Our staff consists of a few local guys who have been with us for a long time. They know how to fix just about anything that comes through the door. We don't really advertise our services. Most of our work comes from the other factories nearby who need something repaired or fabricated. The roof leaks a little bit when it rains hard, but we just move the machines out of the way. It’s a practical place. We focus on the work rather than how the shop looks. Sometimes the power goes out in the estate, and we just sit outside and wait for it to come back. It’s just how it goes here. We keep a ledger of all the jobs, and it's mostly full of repeat names. We aren't trying to grow huge, just doing good work.
