Sagar Ice Cream

Sagar Ice Cream is situated right opposite the Hare Madhav Satsang Bhavan. We are also quite near the Circuit House, so it is a part of town that people know well. The location is pretty open and there is usually a breeze coming through. We spend a lot of time organizing the different tubs in the freezer and making sure the scoops are clean. The shop has a simple tiled floor that we have to scrub every night. People come by after their meetings or after visiting the Satsang Bhavan. It is nice to see the families walking around in the evening when it is a bit cooler. We have a small radio that we keep playing in the background to pass the time when it is slow. The freezers hum quite a bit and sometimes they leak a little water on the floor, so we keep a mop handy. We don't use any big marketing tricks or fancy lights to get people in. Most of our customers are just folks who live nearby or are passing through the area. We have been at this location for a while and we have a routine that works for us. Getting the stock right is the hardest part because you never know what people will want on a hot day. We just try to keep everything running smoothly without too much fuss.
