Shivam Dairy & Sweets

Shivam Dairy & Sweets is our little shop at 14 Fatepura in Mumbai. You can find us right opposite Sangam Hospital. It’s a busy spot, especially with the hospital traffic and people moving around Fatepura all day. We start early in the morning to get everything ready. It’s mostly about dairy and the various sweets we prepare. The shop isn't very big, but we make the most of the space we have. There’s always the smell of milk and sugar in the air, which isn't a bad way to spend the day. We see a lot of people coming from the hospital, either visiting or working there, and they often stop in for a quick bit of something. We don't have fancy displays like the big stores in the malls. Everything is kept in simple glass cases so you can see what’s fresh. Mumbai is a fast place, but here at number 14, we try to keep things steady. It gets a bit hectic during the festival seasons, and we end up staying late to keep up with the demand. The floor might get a little sticky sometimes, but that’s just part of the job when you’re working with sweets. We’ve been here for a long time and the locals know us by name. It’s just a regular life of selling milk and treats to the neighborhood. We focus on the daily chores and keeping the counters stocked for whoever comes in.
