Rupesh Cloth Store

We run the Rupesh Cloth Store over in Tatarpura. Our shop is near Khanderao Market, tucked behind the Patthar Gate on the Punr-Nashik Road. It's an old neighborhood with a lot of history. The streets are a bit narrow, so parking can be a real headache for anyone driving a big car. We've been in this spot for a long time. The shop itself isn't very large, but we pack it full of different types of cloth. We have everything from basic cotton to some heavier materials. Most of the time, I'm behind the counter and my cousin helps with the customers. We don't use any computers or fancy systems. Everything is written down in our big ledger books. Sometimes we make mistakes and have to cross things out, but we always get it sorted in the end. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, and the shelves are a bit crooked, but they hold the weight of the fabric rolls just fine. People come to us because they know we’ve been here forever and we don't try to trick anyone. We just sell cloth by the meter and have a bit of a chat about the weather or the local news. It’s a slow-paced kind of life, and that's how we like it. We just keep doing what we've always done.
