Our workshop, R.K Enginering.Co, is located at 186/B in the GIDC area of Makarpura, Vadodara. Being in a big industrial estate like this means there is always something going on nearby. We have been here for years, and the building shows a bit of its age, but it works well for the engineering jobs we take on. Usually, you can hear the sound of machinery or someone grinding metal coming from our unit. Having a big marketing team or a fancy website isn't how we operate; most people just know us from being around the GIDC for so long. The floor stays covered with various parts and pieces of equipment we are working on. Lathes and basic machines are what we use, and they have served us well over time. Our staff consists of a few skilled guys who have a lot of experience with their hands. Uniforms aren't really a thing here; we just wear regular clothes that can get a bit of oil on them. The office is just a small corner with a desk and a phone where we take calls from customers. Keeping things simple and focusing on fixing or making the parts people bring to us is our main goal. It gets dusty and loud, but that is the nature of an engineering shop in this part of Gujarat. We just keep at it every day and try to finish the jobs by the end of the week.
