Rib Engineers

Rib Engineers is located at 336/7 in the GIDC Estate over in Makarpura. This part of Vadodara is pretty much all industry, so we are surrounded by people making all sorts of things. Our unit is just one of many, but we’ve made it our own over the years. The shed is usually quite warm, especially in the summer months, but we’re used to it by now. We spend our time working on various engineering parts. There is a lot of measuring and cutting involved, and you can always hear the hum of the grinders going. It’s a straightforward way to make a living. We don't have much in the way of a fancy office; most of the space is taken up by machines and raw materials. We get our supplies delivered through the estate roads, which can be a bit bumpy. Lunch is usually a quick affair, sometimes brought from home or bought from one of the vendors that circles the GIDC. It’s an honest place. We don't put on any acts for visitors. If you come to see us, you’ll see the work as it is, sparks and all. We have been at this address for a good stretch of time. The workers here are mostly locals who know their way around a lathe. We just keep our heads down and focus on the task that’s right in front of us without much fuss.
