Rama Engineers

Rama Engineers is located in the Makarpura area, specifically at number 450. It’s an industrial part of the city, so there’s always the sound of welding and heavy trucks moving around. Our workshop isn't anything special to look at. It’s a large open space with concrete floors and a few heavy machines that we’ve had for a long time. I spend most of my day in my overalls, checking drawings and making sure the parts we are making are the right size. It can get really hot in here during the summer months, and the fans don't do much but move the warm air around. We have a small office tucked in the corner where we keep the records, but I prefer being out on the floor. It’s hands-on work. We don't really do much in the way of marketing or sales pitches. Most of our work comes from people who know us in the industrial estate. They bring us something that’s broken or a design they need turned into metal, and we get to work. It’s a lot of measuring and cutting and grinding. By the end of the shift, I’m usually pretty tired, but it’s a good kind of tired. We aren't trying to change the world, we are just trying to make sure the engineering work we do is solid and dependable for the people who need it. It's just us and our tools.
