R H Decorators is located at 1 Bajwa over in the Mulund West area, inside the Sursagar Complex. It’s a bit of a maze in here sometimes, but we’ve made our space work for us. We keep a lot of our samples and materials tucked away in the back. The front area is where we usually meet people to talk about what they want to do with their homes or offices. We aren't interior designers with fancy degrees; we just know what looks good and how to put things together. The office usually smells like paint or wood glue depending on what we are working on that day. We have a few old catalogs that we flip through with customers. It’s a very informal process. We don't have a receptionist, so if we're in the back, you might have to shout to get our attention. We work long hours, especially when we have a big project finishing up. It’s hard work and our hands are usually a bit dirty by the end of the shift. We like seeing a project come together from start to finish. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s satisfying. We’ve been in the Sursagar Complex for a good while and most of the other shop owners know us by name. We just take things one job at a time and try to stay on top of the schedule. It is what it is, and we like it.
