Preeti Saree Centre

We are located at 16 Mangal Bazar. It’s on the 12th Cross near Chowdappa Layout. Mysore Road is usually very busy in the afternoons, so getting here takes some time. Preeti Saree Centre has been in this spot for several years now. When we first opened, the area looked different. Now there are so many shops around us. We keep a lot of different sarees piled up on the counters. Sometimes it’s hard to find the exact color someone wants because the shelves are so full. We spend most of our morning dusting things off and setting up the display. It’s a bit of a small shop, but we make it work. Most people in Vadodara know this market. It’s loud and crowded, especially on weekends. We don't have fancy air conditioning, just a couple of fans that hum all day. My cousin helps me out with the customers. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for people to come in. The lights inside are a little dim, but you can see the fabric clearly enough. We mostly deal with local folks who live nearby. It's just a regular business. We stay open until late evening because that is when most workers finish their day and come looking for something for their families. It’s nothing special, just us doing our work here every day near the layout. The street is always noisy with bikes and people talking.
