Precision Engineering Industries is tucked away in the Acid Mill Compound on Ranmukteshwar Road. If you know Pratap Nagar, you know this area is pretty industrial and has been for a long time. Our workshop isn't much to look at from the outside, but inside we stay busy with all kinds of metal work and machining jobs. It gets noisy with the lathes and the milling machines going, but that's how we like it. Most of the guys here have grease on their hands by nine in the morning. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Usually, someone just hears about us from another shop nearby. The compound can be a bit crowded with trucks and tempos moving in and out, so parking is sometimes a bit of a headache. We deal with various engineering tasks as they come in. Sometimes it's a small repair, other times it's a larger batch of components that need to be turned. We've seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, but our shop stays mostly the same. We just show up, do the machining, and make sure the specs are right. It’s straightforward work. We don't have a fancy reception desk or anything like that. You just walk in and talk to whoever isn't running a machine at the moment. It’s just how we do things here in Pratap Nagar.
