Prarthna Saree Centre

Our shop is right here in Vadodara. It’s a busy city and we have been part of the local market for a good while now. Most of our day is spent unfolding and folding sarees as people come in to look at the different colors and fabrics. We have a lot of regular customers from the neighborhood who stop by just to see what came in recently. The shop isn't massive, so we have to use the wall space to keep everything organized. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when a whole family comes in at once, but we make it work. Vadodara can get quite hot in the summer months, so we keep the fans going all day. There is always a lot of chatter and noise from the street outside. We don't really do much advertising because people usually find us just by walking past or hearing about us from their friends. We just try to keep a good variety of stuff on the shelves. Whether it’s for a small function or a big wedding, we usually have something that fits. It’s a simple life of managing stock and talking to people who appreciate a nice piece of cloth. We close up in the evening once the street starts to quiet down a bit. It is just a normal local business where we know most of the people who walk through the door.
