Pragati Sarees

You can find us at Arpan Complex, shop number 41. We are right across from the Delux Char Rasta near Kottigepalya. The Magadi Main Road is always full of noise, and the Vrundavan Char Rasta junction keeps things moving all day long. Our shop is just one of many in this building, but we’ve stayed here because people know the landmark. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of sarees on the shelves. We don't have those bright studio lights or anything. Just normal bulbs that sometimes flicker if the power is acting up. Dealing with sarees means there is always a lot of folding to do. Every time someone looks at a piece, we have to spend time getting those sharp creases back in place. It takes a lot of patience. My cousin helps out when things get busy during the festival times. We usually have a bit of a mess behind the main counter where we keep the packing materials. The floor is a bit worn down from people walking in and out over the years. We don't mind it though. It shows we’ve been busy. Sometimes the traffic outside makes it hard to hear what customers are saying, so we end up shouting a bit. It’s just a regular shop where we do our thing and try to get through the day's work without too much trouble from the heat.
